Two Church Services on Christmas Day

At Christmas, early in the morning, the entire family rises early to attend two services at St. Mary Magdalene’s church. The first one is exclusively for family members only, where Queen Elizabeth II takes communion, and it begins at 9 a.m. Again, dress codes are important with this first service being somewhat informal, contrary to the second one. The second communion is public, open for locals and anyone else who might want to attend. It begins at 11 in the morning and people outside of the Royal family need to pass a security check a few months prior to Christmas.
