Please Pass The Spicy Fatted Bird

One thing the royals have in common with a number of people is that they always have turkey at Christmas time. But unlike most people, their meals are cooked by professional chefs so it’s like they’re at a restaurant. They have a lobster or shrimp salad after church as part of a huge lunch. They also have the usual side dishes such as brussels sprouts, carrots, and parsnips. The sumptuous meal is finished off with a dessert of Christmas pudding topped with brandy butter. The family has the same menu each year. And get this, the language used for the menu for Christmas Day is French—as with all the Queen’s other menus.
