Cheers Old Boy!

Retired chef to the royals, Darren McGrady, spoke to Good Housekeeping about his favorite Christmas royal practice. It was when the Queen would serve him. McGrady remembered that just ahead of the buffet at Christmas, the chief chef working at the time would head for the dining room, carve the ham, or turkey, or rib roast. With that job completed, the Queen hands the chef a serving of whiskey in a glass then they share a toast. Maybe it’s for their continued health? The chef doesn’t go into the dining room to have whiskey with the Royals apart from this time.
