The Great Grandparents Put On A Yuletide Entertainment Package
The royals do not arrive at Sandringham all at once. The Queen and her spouse, Prince Philip, arrive first wearing, of course, festive clothes. The royal couple journeys to the estate the week before Christmas and everyone else goes on Christmas Eve. Additionally, they are all told the exact time at which they should arrive. The time given is based on seniority as a royal. The least senior of the guests arrive the earliest, with the most senior being Charles arriving late in the day with Camilla and his children and grandchildren following behind.
