What: The movie will be a character study that will center on an unsuccessful stand-up comedian who loses his sanity and turns into the psychopathic criminal mastermind, The Joker. Joaquin Phoenix who know a thing or two about character-study movies (Walk the Line, I’m Still Here, Her, You Were Never Really Here) will play the Joker, while Robert De Niro will play a talk show host, also not for the first time (The King of Comedy).
