What: It’s based on a Pulitzer winning book titled likewise and deals with a kid who loses his mother in a terrorist attack in an art museum. Confused and upset by the tragedy he steals an artifact called the goldfinch. He becomes a criminal involved in art forgeries. Director John Crowley previously made highly acclaimed movies that also focused on young heroes – Boy A (BAFTA winner) and Brooklyn (nominated to 3 Oscars).
