Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa Middleton, was the maid of honor for the Duchess of Cambridge on her wedding day. Hence, Pippa was the one who carried Kate’s long train down the aisle. On the other hand, former actress Meghan Markle decided not to have a maid of honor, so page boys were in charge of carrying her veil into the church. The Duchess of Sussex never revealed the reason why she decided not to follow that tradition.
