Barbara Bel Geddes – Vertigo – Deceased – 82 Years Old – Lung Cancer

Barbara Bel Geddes’ career spanned six decades. She was best known and loved for her prominent role as Miss Ellie Ewing on the TV drama series, Dallas, on which the Ewing family lived an opulent lifestyle.  Geddes also played Maggie in the original Broadway play Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, in the mid-’50s. Other outstanding movies would be I Remember Mama and Hitchcock’s Vertigo, a noir psychological thriller. Throughout her career, she was the recipient of several acting awards and nominations.
