Earl Spencer, Diana’s father, accompanied his daughter in St. Paul’s Cathedral in 1981, before placing her hand into Prince Charle’s. Princess Katherine walked the red-carpet of Westminster Abbey, too, holding her father’s forearm. Meghan was escorted by Prince Charles, yet that didn’t seem to bother anyone, due to her radiance underneath that subtle makeup.
