Phil Morris – Tyrone Jackson

Phil Morris briefly appeared on The Young and the Restless in the show’s early days. For 13 episodes in 1986, Morris played Tyrone Jackson, a lawyer who takes on the dangerous task of shutting down organized crime in Genoa City. Besides giving Morris’ checking account a boost, the part was a shot in the arm for the actor’s career, giving him the visibility that would later land him recurring roles on Seinfeld as opportunistic attorney and Johnny Cochran parody Jackie Chiles and on Smallville as John Jones, a guardian angel figure for Tom Welling’s Clark Kent. John Jones has also lent his voice to several video games, including Final Fantasy XIII.
