Doug Davidson – Paul Williams
As of 2018, Doug Davidson is the longest continuously-working actor on The Young and the Restless. Davidson came to the show in 1978, originating the character of police chief Paul Williams; Davidson is also one of the few cast members who hasn’t shared his character with other actors. When Doug came to the show, he was mentored and befriended by Jeanne Cooper, who played Genoa City icon, Katherine Chancellor. Davidson’s other acting credits include the drama Fraternity Row and the television miniseries I’ll Take Manhattan. Davidson has also hosted a live stage show adaptation of popular game show The Price is Right.
