Ahoy! Pirates On Set

The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise hit the big screen for the first time in 2003, and we simply can’t get enough of our favorite raiders at sea. Did you wonder how rational it is to send the cast and crew on a month-long trip to the middle of the ocean – yes, not very! And they sure didn’t do that.

A green screen became preeminent for the film-makers to establish the growling waves and aye, a little CGI here, and a few graphic visuals there, the film-makers had a blockbuster pirate success.
