During the summer of 2016, Westbrook renegotiated his contract with the Thunders that saw $9 million added to his 2016-17 salary. The three-year deal is worth $85.6 million. His off-court earnings were increased last year, thanks to a new extension of his contract with Nike‘s Jordan Brand by ten years. In the past, Nike released lifestyle signature shoes for the player, but the Why Not ZERO.1 was the first performance signature shoe for Westbrook from Jordan. It was released in January 2018.
