Chef Darren McGrady was the personal cook for the Queen and other Royal family members for 15 years. He has also cooked for many US Presidents and high-profile political figures. After such a high-profile career, Darren is now a culinary consultant, public speaker, event planner, and even an author. He made his writing debut with the Eating Royally: Recipes and Remembrances from a Palace Kitchen cookbook and a memoir of sorts. In the book, he disclosed many personal details about the Royals, unknown to the public by then. According to Darren, the Queen loves dark chocolate, especially Bendicks Bittermints which are small dark chocolate treats filled with mint.
