English actor Richard Todd acted in a number of films throughout his career, one being Alfred Hitchcock’s Stage Fright. Stage Fright is a British 1950 thriller film for which Hitchcock was both director and producer. Another movie that Todd was in is Hasty Heart, for which he won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer – Male. He also received an Academy Award nomination. Todd had a long and fruitful career, then died in 2009 at his home near Grantham, Lincolnshire due to cancer.
