Eric Braeden – Victor Newman

German actor Eric Braeden came to the United States at age 18. Earlier on in his acting career, Braeden was typecast as a German soldier in World War II-themed shows and movies. He found his way to The Young and the Restless in 1980 and has played the soap’s reigning arch-villain, Victor Newman, ever since. Braeden’s “rich guy” vibe has certainly resonated throughout the rest of his career; besides his signature role as the bad boy with the bottomless bank account on Y & R, Braeden played Robin’s wealthy dad on How I Met Your Mother in 2008 and even doomed millionaire John Jacob Astor IV in Titanic in 1997.
