Susan Seaforth Hayes – JoAnna Manning

Susan Seaforth Hayes was born into a soap opera legacy in Hollywood, the daughter of Days of Our Lives and Young and the Restless writer Elizabeth Harrower. Susan began starring on Y & R herself in 1984 as Joanna Manning, one of the wealthy older denizens of Genoa City. Her time on the show lasted until 1989, although her character reappeared intermittently throughout the 2000s. Otherwise, Susan Seaforth Hayes has had a starring role as Julie Williams on Days since 1999. She and her husband Bill Hayes were given Lifetime Achievement Awards for their multi-decade careers at the 2018 Daytime Emmys.
